The Friends of the Library is a group who supports and promotes the Mason City Public Library. The Friends raise funds to be used by the Library for activities not ordinarily covered under the library's operating budget. The Friends currently have nearly 200 members. We contribute to the summer reading program for children, young adults, adult programs, and to the Writers' Workshop.
